My name is Mike Nutley, and I am running for South Dakota House of Representatives to be your voice in Pierre. I first came to Yankton 43 years ago as a teenager. This is where I built my life, met Becky — my wife of 39 years — and where we raised our three children, Lea, Elizabeth and Reid, on our acreage west of Irene. Today, as a grandfather of nine, my commitment to the future of this district has never been stronger. For my entire adult life, I have worked in manufacturing right here in our community. As a Maintenance Technician by trade — including the last decade at Vishay Dale Electronics — my job is to identify what is broken and fix it. I do not deal in fluff; I deal in results. I have applied the same “nuts and bolts” approach to local government. Serving on the Turkey Valley Township Board for 13 years, first as Clerk and now as Supervisor, I have learned exactly how policy impacts our roads, our land and our pockets. I am running for House because District 18 deserves a representative focused on the people, not the agendas of big corporate interests. In Pierre, I will be a tool for the taxpayer, working to protect:

  • Property Rights: Defending our land against overreach.
  • Smart Economic Development: Building a future that works for South Dakotans.
  • Fiscal Responsibility: Keeping the budget tight and the government accountable.
  • Second Amendment: Protecting our fundamental right to bear arms.
  • Foundational Conservative Values: Common-sense leadership.

It is time for a representative who understands how things work from the ground up. I am ready to get to work for you. Common sense, “nuts & bolts” voice for District 18. Candidate for State House, District 18
